Official Rules & Game Format
Trivia Takeover Live runs on a standardized 7-round format with 56 total questions (8 questions per round). Rounds cover General Knowledge, Pop Culture, Audio/Music, Visual/Picture puzzles, History & Geography, Science & Tech, and a Wildcard Finale sprint. Teams write answers on paper round slips while hosts grade and enter scores directly into digital scoreboards.
Wagering rounds allow teams to assign point values based on confidence, while the Halftime Riddle awards up to 5 bonus points. Ties for podium places are resolved using a sudden-death numerical tie-breaker question (closest answer without going over). All electronic devices are strictly prohibited during active question rounds.
Seasonal Championships & League Standings
Our competition operates in 12-week seasonal leagues (Spring, Summer, Fall, and Winter). Teams earn cumulative league points based on their finishing place at weekly events. The top 20 teams in each metropolitan region qualify for the Seasonal Championship Finals, competing for cash prizes, trophies, and seasonal champion badges.
Teams maintain points under a unified team profile by preserving at least two core roster players across events. The team with the highest point total at each partner venue is awarded the Venue Champion title with preferred seating at regional finals.

Do I need a team? Solo players and teams of 2 to 8 are welcome. Hosts can also connect individual players with open teams looking for extra members.
How does Daily Trivia XP work? Answering daily online questions awards player XP, unlocks avatar frames and team cosmetics, and builds your consecutive play streak on regional leaderboards.
